Modeling and forecasting wind power energy in France: uncertainty quantification and multi-scale variability analysis
This project focuses on metropolitan France and close by offshore areas. Modeol is organized around 3 main research axes:
- analysis of existing methods for the evaluation of wind energy potential, identification of modeling limits
- development of innovative tools for the parametrization of wind power at small scales and its associated uncertainties
- analysis of the temporal multi-scale variability of wind power
MODEOL lasted for 3 years (2012-2015).
